Three Greek Maids

It’s quite a thrill to be
controlling human destiny –
but not for me…

I spin the threads of life, you see.
A worthy task –
It’s quite a thrill to be.

I give your life a length, or three.
What strength  –
but not for me…

I cut life from the human tree.
How sublime –
It’s quite a thrill to be.

Three Greek maids are we:
Clothos, Lachesis and Atropos –
but not for me…

Predestination is my game,
no matter what you call my name.
It’s quite a thrill to be –
but not for me…
