To My Love

When you think of me

think no sad thoughts.

Our love throughout the years

built up to store

in our hearts.

So, when we part at last –

as all frail mortals do –

look upon our golden years,

and live them, joyfully,

anew.

When loneliness creeps in,

take out your memories of me,

good and bad, happy and sad,

and laugh once again

with me.

If I am in your heart,

as much as you are in mine,

you will never be truly alone.
